Madonna Sets A Date For Appeal Case

Madonna’s failed attempt to adoped Mercy James in Malawi, will be appealed on May 4th 2009 in the courts of Malawi. Three judges will hear her plea on why they should allow her to adopt Mercy James from an orphanage, even without her living their for the required amount of time. She is reportedly doing everything she can in order to get the ruling over turned and so she can adopt Mercy James.

Her adopted was rejected eariler this month due to the fact that she(Madonna) didn’t live in Malawi long enough for the adoption to take place, which is the law of Malawi. Though it was widely rumored due to her being a single mother and that Malawi looked down upon that. Though that has not been denied nor confirmed either way if that hold any truth to their decision.

It also has been rumored that she wants to build an orphanage on her land that she owns in Malawi, but also a family home along side with the orphanage, after she got turned down in adoption. She stated that she wanted to live near where they came from, for the kids sake. Though some believe its because she was turned down for not living their long enough.

Madonna has adopted her son David also from Malawi back in 2006, without too many issues. Though she was married at the time of the adopting David from Malawi, unlike now. She was under fire though for adopting a kid already with a family. It was reported that David’s father didn’t know what the word adoption ment and thought it was more like fostering a child instead of adopting. Though Madonna stated that David’s biological father wanted them to adpot instead of financial support that she offered to them as well.

CNN has reported few days ago that Demi Moore’s fan’s life was may have been saved by a “tweet”. Demi Moore has a Twitter blog that has 380,000 fans and she received online threat from some woman which was saying that she was “getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn’t waste time.” “Hope you are joking,” that was the response of Demi Moore to grim statement.

Unnamed 48-year-old woman suicide threat has been traced into a San Jose, California, home, and there the woman was taken in custody for 72-hour psychiatric evaluation. Moore was in France with her husband Ashton Kutcher was shooting Five Killers a crime drama. She was later informed by her Twitter followers, San Jose police has taken control of situation, and she was “very torn about responding or retweeting that woman’s post but felt uncomfortable just letting it go.”

Eco-activist and actor Leonardo DiCaprio becamed green on Nickelodeon’s 09 Kids’ Choice Award.

Leonardo became first of ever recipient on Big Green Help Award, that celebrated DiCaprio’s dedication, contribution to green & environmentally-friendly causes.

Leonardo DiCaprio said when he received award, “And she needs a generation of thoughtful, caring and active kids like all of you to protect her for the future. You can help us win the battle to clean up out air, our water, our land to protect our forests,our oceans and our wildlife.”

The award for Favorite Movie was nabbed to “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, as well Vanessa Hudgens won Favorite Movie Actress.
