Fast & Furious and huge $30.1 million

Fast & Furious started this week in a shocking fashion, by earning the astonishing $30.1 million on Friday in box office. Sum was more than twice what industry observers was expecting and it is setting “Vin Diesel’s” franchise flick on pace for annihilating record for April best opening ever, “Anger Management’s” $42.2 mil, with among many other achievements. In comparison, highly anticipated movie Watchmen was banked smaller $25.1 mil on the first day.

(Yes, sound that you are hearing right now are jaws dropping on Hollywood and all around him.) And the other weekend’s big movie, “Adventureland” had difficult time getting there motor running, by grossing only $2.2 mil on their first day.
