Tyler PerryTyler Perry a famous writer, actor, producer, and director started his writing plays earlier in the age of eighteen. He has written eight plays which have grossed above 75 million dollar in tickets and DVD sales.

Tyler Perry was born on September 13, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana and named as Emmitt Perry Jr. He was born along with four children and really had a stern and ill-treated childhood from his carpenter father. He had suffered utmost and even attempted suicide to get away from his problematic life.

Later in the age of sixteen, he changed his name to Tyler to quit from his father. Perry did not complete his high school education, but he managed to acquire a general equivalency diploma in prospect. So as to settle in a profession he strived hard and did all kinds of unsatisfactory jobs. Later he identified his real fervour and fashioned his own path in the entertainment industry, which later constructed a kingdom with films, plays, and best books.

His career as an entertainer started as he watched a talk show of Oprah Winfrey, he was motivated by a statement on the show about writing difficult experiences of a person will pave way to individual advancements. Keeping this thought he started writing letters to himself, which then formed the foundation for the musical I Know I’ve Been Changed. This show included several stern topics like child abuse, and also forgiveness and this concept remained the chief theme of all his works and exhibited his Christian faith.

Perry then debuted his show in which he worked as a director, producer and as well as the actor, at an Atlanta theater in 1992 and this show was not up to the mark. This incident did not control Perry to be away from the field. Even being frustrated, he still remained settled and continued to do other jobs and carried out methods to improve his show. Later he staged his show in various cities and still not succeeded. After several years of his hard labour he was able to stage his show in a huge theater and finally earned chief approval along with industrial achievement.

His next project was based on the adaptation of evangelist T.D. Jake’s book Woman, Thou Art Loosed, which acquired larger fame. His next set of works included his familiar character Madea, his grandma and he wrote a play called I Can Do Bad All by Myself, In Dairy of a Mad Black Woman, Madea’s Class Reunion, Madea’s Family Reunion, etc.

Perry being an owner of a successful play company staged his shows all over the world mainly organized to African –Americans. He also created a website and in that it is marked that nearly 35,000 people a week viewed one of his shows in 2005. All his plays are as well recorded and sold as DVDs.

Perry’s first movie was Diary of a Mad Black Woman, which was a huge box office hit. His next film is for Lions Gate, Daddy’s Little Girls which earned nearly 31 million dollars. Perry wrote, directed, produced and stared in his next movie Why Did I Get Married? This was again a box office hit.

Above all Tyler Perry also owns a studio which is the first African-American owned studio in the country located in Atlanta, Georgia. He also produces a television show named Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. His first novel Don’t Make a Black Woman Take Off Her Earrings: Madea’s Uninhibited Commentaries on Love and Life won the best book of the year and best humour book awards.
