An American author, Stephen Edwin King was born on 21st September, 1947 at a place called Portland, which is the largest city of the state, Maine in the United States of America. He has two pen names such as John Swithen and Richard Bachman.
Stephen has been well recognized in the roles of an actor, columnist, film director, novelist, screenwriter, short story writer and television producer. His genres of prime concern are drama, fantasy, horror and science fiction. His other interests were baseball, philanthropy, politics, radio stations and society. His children are Joe King, Naomi Rachel King and Owen King.
The publishers of King are ‘Cemetery Dance Publications’, ‘Charles Scribner’s Sons’, ‘Doubleday’, ‘Grant’, ‘Philtrum Press’ and ‘Viking Press’. Henry Award’, a ‘Hugo Award’ in the year, 1982 for the non-fiction book, which had been named as ‘Danse Macabre’. He was given a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2003 by the association called as ‘Horror Writers’ Association’ and a medal for his distinguished contribution to the ‘American Letters’ from the foundation, named as ‘National Book Foundation’ in the year, 2003. In the year, 2007, King has also received an award for the lifetime achievement from the ‘Canadian Literary Guild’, which has made ‘Stephen’, the only non-Canadian to be conferred this award.
