Sarah Jessica ParkerSarah Jessica Parker is a popular Hollywood actress. Most of the people recognize her by her initials SJP. She is an American television, theater, and film actress, and producer. She is recognized by people, because of her role as Carried Bradshaw in the HBO television series Sex and the City. Her role in this TV Series made her win four golden globe awards, two Emmy awards and two screen actors’ guild awards.

Jessica parker was born on March 25th 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio. She is the daughter of Barbara, a nursery school teacher and operator, and Steve Parker, a journalist and entrepreneur. Her father was of Jewish descent and was native to Brooklyn. Jessica’s parents divorced when she was young. Her mother got married to Paul Forste. Parker grew up with her mother and step father. She had seven siblings of whom four were of the 2nd marriage. As a young girl Jessica was interested in ballet, and singing.

Parker developed her career as a child actress when her family moved from to Cincinnati Ohio. Parker attended the Creative and Performing Arts School in Cincinnati. Here, she learnt singing, ballet dancing, acting, etc. Sarah was first cast in the Broadway production of “The innocents”. Her participation in this show made her relocate to New York City. After becoming perfect in ballet Sarah acted in “The sound of Music” along with her four siblings. After this show, she won the lead role in the Broadway musical, Annie.

After graduation Sarah decided to concentrate more on acting. Before her graduation, Sarah worked in the Square pig’s show, but it didn’t succeed. After the show, she shifted her attention to movies. She played the role of a supporting actress in the movies Footloose, and Firstborn in 1984. She played the lead role in the movie Girls Just Want to Have Fun in 1985. Sarah had an unmatched passion towards acting. She enjoyed her roles in movies, and enjoyed all her roles and did things with dedication. This dedication has won her many awards and recognition.

Parker‘s career was gaining momentum in the early1990′s. In 1991 she appeared in a supporting role in L.A. Story, a romantic comedy. Her performance, as well as, the movie, was a big hit. In the same year she did a meaningful role in the film Honeymoon in Vegas. In this movie Nicolas Cage was her co-star. Hocus Pocus released in 1993 and earned well at the box office, but it received negative reviews. In 1993 Sarah starred in the movie Striking Distance opposite Bruce Willis. In the same year she acted with Johnny Depp in the movie Ed wood.

The “Sex and the City” script was first sent to Parker by the show’s creator Darren Star. He was the person who had faith in Sarah, and thought that she would be the best in this show. Despite everyone’s doubts Sarah agreed to this show, and it was big hit. This show proved to be successful; it highlighted Sarah’s profile remarkably. This was a turning point in her life ensuring that she cements her position in Hollywood.
