Jeff GordonJeff Gordon, the famous American Race Car racer actually started the racing at an age of five, using the quarter Midgets. The thirty eight year old chap was born on August 4 1971, in California. When the time he was six, he had won thirty-five main events and had set five records of accomplishment and those were the first among his victory.

Jeff Gordon became interested in the sprint cars at the age of 13, when he happened to know that the minimum age to ride the 650 HP vehicles is 16. He got the opportunity to ride in All Star Florida Speed Weeks, and there he proved his success. It was the first time he got the national attention, as he was too young to drive the sprint cars when he showed an amazing ability in the show. He got several track championships, at Bloomington Speedway and a title at Eldora Speedway. Later when Jeff Gordon joined Buck Baker Driving School at Rockingham Speedway of North Carolina and he became much more interested in stock cars.

Jeff also got the USAC Midget Car Racing Rookie award in the year 1989, before the age of 18. He got four times NASCAR Cup Series Championship in the years, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2001. He also has 81 career NASCAR victories and 67 career poles. He was the sixth on the all-time win list and the forth on the all-time pole award winner’s list. Jeff Gordon also achieved Daytona 500 winner award three times in the years, 1997, 1999 and 2005. During the four years of 1994, 1998, 2001 and 2004, Jeff Gordon also got Brickyard 400 Winner award. He was also a three-time champion of The NEXTEL All Star Challenge during the years 1995, 1997 and 2001.

Jeff Gordon holds nine road course victories records and twelve restrictor-plate victories records. In 1997, Jeff was also the Winston Million Winner. He is a four-time Winston No Bull 5 Winner. He was also champion with Darlington during the years 1d995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2007.

Du Pont Company was the regular sponsor of Jeff Gordon. He carried a rainbow scheme from the years 1993 to 2000. Therefore, he and his team members are also popular by the nickname ‘The Rainbow Warriors’. Jeff carried several paints like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Snoopy, etc. He had also signed a long-term contract with Pepsi, in the year 1997, which still goes on. In 2006, he got a new sponsor, an over counter palliative treatment company, Nicorette.

Jeff Gordon was married with Brookey Sealey in 1994, but got divorced in 2003. A mutual friend introduced him to a woman in the year 2002. Her name was Ingrid Vandebosch whom with he started dating from the year 2004. Jeff revealed about the engagement with her on June 2006 and they got married on 7 November 2006.

Jeff is again going to receive two awards for the works done as a Scout Recruiter and other humanitarian works- Boy Scouts of Americas and Silver Buffalo Award. Two more added in his list!
