50 Cent50 Cent is very identical to other rap stars. All their songs are based on drugs, jail and violence. There is dissimilarity though, 50 Cent has done that all. He has done the whole thing that he sings about.

He was named as Curtis Jackson and often called as Fiddy. He was born on 6 July 1976 in the Jamaica district of Queens, New York. 50 Cent’s parents belong to a family that was heavily absorbed in the street culture. There was forever a risk to their lives. 50 Cent found her mother be killed to death in strange conditions; and soon after that his father disappeared. All these miseries happened when 50 Cent was ten years old. He moved with his grand parents. As a youngster 50 Cent did what he had seen all those around him do. He did drugs and sold them. He often goes to jail. 50 cent had bought a top of the line Mercedes with his drug currency. It was only the birth of his son that made him realize that he needed to get a lawful job.

He made his first debut offered by Run DMC Jam Master Jay heard him rap and offered him a contract. This chance was financially not a great deal but it provided a platform where some important people could hear him. One of the tracks that he ended was called “How to Rob.”When you’re from the bottom you have nothing to lose so you say what you got to say and don’t worry about the consequences.” The song brought him immediate notoriety and lots of enemies. He received many unknown death threats and suddenly on a day he was wounded at the Studio Hit Factory on West 54 St in Manhattan.

50 Cent had landed an agreement with Columbia. In the year 2000, an incident occurred that would change his life eternally. Columbia was positioned to release his album called “Power of the Dollar.” On 24th of May 2000, a murderer shot nine times on 50 Cent with his 9 mm pistol. He got shots in his limbs and face while he was traveling in the passenger seat of a car. Columbia cancelled the agreement and the album wasn’t released. Along with his partner Sha Money XL he produced a number of mix tapes. Eminem was one of the people to listen his tapes. Eminem one time on radio spoke that, 50 cent a new rapper impressed him a lot. A bid war began although 50 Cent signed up with Eminem and Dr.Dre for 1 million U.S dollar. Later 50 Cent happen to be a part of Aftermath Records/Shady. 50 Cents featured videos with his pistol, bulletproof vest and crucifix. His introduction album named Get Rich or Die Tryin’, has sold above four million copies to date, it sold 872,000 copies in its first week in the US making it the highest selling debut of a major artist ever. He has also signed a contract under the brand G-Unit Records with Interscope Records to develop artists. 50 got into the news for the wrong reasons again in 2002. He was taken in for questioning for the murder of his tutor Jam Master Jay. He was also under inquiry for Murder Inc’s association with Kenneth McGriff “Supreme” a former drug dealer. After some days, on the day of New Year’s Eve-2002 he was jailed for possessing guns.
